Building technique system integration via innovative Plug and Play technology (Dr.-Ing. Asbjörn Gärtner 2008-2013)

Up to now the different components of building automation need an own Bus-technology based controlling software, provided that they are not able to be run via manual control switches on the device or on the wall locally. In summary all these components can already be found for facility and maintenance management in an IP-based IWMS-system what makes this a logical place for central automation controlling.

This concept enables the resolution of redundant data management as well as considerable savings for infrastructure. Scenario planning and controlling occurs centrally via the IWMS-system. The aim is to be able to connect any building automation components to the network so that they can automatically be recognized and integrated by the IWMS-system and afterwards be controlled manually out of the software or on base of planned scenarios, timers or automatically.
