The 27th Annual Conference of the European Real Estate Society (ERES) took place at TUK from 2nd to 5th June, 2021. A review of the event can be found here. ERES is the largest community of researchers in the real estate domain in Europe with counterparts in North America (ARES), South America (LARES), Asia-Pacific (PRRES) and Africa (AfRES) under the international umbrella of IRES. The ERES conference is the largest conference in this network attracting 300 to 400 participants each year. Over 200 papers are presented and discussed annually.

A new focus in 2021, in addition to Real Estate Finance and Investment, Housing, Development and Management, was Technology - in keeping with the technology location Kaiserslautern, where research is being conducted on information technology and artificial intelligence in the real estate industry, among other sectors.
