Introductory weeks (freshmen weeks)

Hello dear first semester students,

We, the Civil Engineering Student Council, would like to welcome you to your studies at RPTU in Kaiserslautern and look forward to welcoming you in person for the new semester.
Regardless of whether you are studying Civil Engineering, Construction or Wood Technology, IFMT (Real Estate Facilities, Management and Technology) or Fire Protection, you all belong to the department and therefore also to the Civil Engineering Student Council.
In short: the student council is YOU! And with you, your fellow students from the above-mentioned degree programs.

E-week schedule for winter semester 24-25

Freshers' week

In order to make your start at university as pleasant as possible, there will be a series of events during the Freshers' Weeks, which are intended to give you a little orientation and at the same time help you get to know your fellow students. We recommend that you take advantage of this offer, as the flood of information, the new environment and the (still) unfamiliar people can make it easy to lose track and lose courage at the beginning of your studies. It's good to know who you can ask. We are happy to help you with advice and support. You are welcome to drop by the Fachschaftrsaum (14-126, basement), write us an email , sign up for the Ersti-Whatsapp-Group or visit us on Insta, or our homepage (here).

Student council

The student council, colloquially just called the student council, are representatives elected by you who represent the interests of the students - including yours - vis-à-vis the department and the university. We are also the point of contact for any problems that arise during your studies. We organize the introductory weeks, parties and provide you with old exams and study rooms.

For questions

There are contact persons within the student council specifically for the organization and support of first-semester students, namely the “Freshman Advisors” (see contact person on the right/below). You can reach them at the e-mail addresses listed there or directly at the student council. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions :)
