Research Focus:

  • Visual comfort
  • Non-visual effects of light
  • Building simulation

PhD topic:

Consideration of non-visual effects of light and their impact on the accuracy of lighting energy requirements using multi-channel spectral simulations. (tentative title)

Description:

Development of an approach for spectral year-round simulations, in which the traditional three RGB channels are split into multiple channels to model light in the visible spectrum. The work examines whether the accuracy of the estimated lighting energy demand can be significantly improved by simulations with finer resolution.
