Visit from Brazil

In the week from 16. - 20.09. the department had a visit from Dr. Gabriela Celani, Professor at the University of Campinas in Brazil. Inside the project Passive-sustainable climate-control strategies in a tropical climate using Digital Fabrication

the department works together with the partners from Brazil on PCM-based solutions to improve thermal comfort. The project also leads to research exchange - at the beginning of the year three employees of the department were at "UniCamp" for several weeks and currently a PhD student from Brazil is at TUK for 6 months.

During the time together, the partners worked on the progress of the project, discussed current research work and also took a trip to the Saarschleife and to Trier.
