International Radiance Workshop 2027 - Kaiserslautern, Germany
We are delighted to welcome the international Radiance community to Kaiserslautern for the annual Radiance Workshop 2027. The Radiance Workshop is the annual meeting of the Radiance software community, bringing together participants from Europe, North America and beyond.
The workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, educators and software developers engaged in daylighting, rendering and lighting simulation to present and critically discuss Radiance-related research, developments and applications.
On 23 and 24 August, the program will feature seminars and presentations. On 25 August, at the tutorial day with the topic “BEYOND visible” experimental equipment and measurement setups covering the full solar spectrum will be demonstrated.
Contributions are welcome from participants at all levels of experience with Radiance. Presenters will benefit from engagement with leading experts in the field, insights from software developers, researchers and practitioners, constructive discussion and peer feedback.

Beyond the Conference
Late summer is a great time to explore Kaiserslautern and the surrounding Palatinate. Close to the city centre, attendees can relax in the Japanese Garden, one of the largest parks of its kind in Europe, or visit the Garden Fair (Gartenschau) for landscaped gardens, cultural activities and its popular dinosaur exhibition.
A walk through the centre can include St. Martin’s Square, the Collegiate Church, the Emperor’s Fountain and the Fruchthalle. The city’s attractions guide also introduces local art, city-history and football museums.
For some time outdoors, the Palatinate Forest offers hiking routes close to the city. A walk to the Humberg Tower provides views over Kaiserslautern, while Hohenecken Castle combines a short forest walk with medieval red-sandstone ruins and views across the Palatinate Forest.
