The TU Kaiserslautern succesfully competed at the "Excellence in teaching" competition of the donors' association for german science and the conference of culture ministers with a multitude of projects.

Following the guiding principle "Innovative concepts in teaching while integrating students as partners", the projects aspiring to raise study succes rate and increase the appeal of courses in general were implemented within the whole university together with the students.

Students of the civil engineering department repeatedly benefit from projects that were authorized for this purpose. Besides the joint projects of the civil engineering department the mathematics department adapted its lectures to better match the civil engineering students requirements. All the individual projects have the collective goal to facilitate the study by offering an optimized range of courses.
