In May two of our students were invited to join the FemaleTalent@ECB Open Day in Frankfurt to gain an insight about the technical business areas as well as the career opportunities at the European Central Bank (ECB). As you might not think at first sight, the ECB offers a diversified Facility Management department, which belongs to the „Directorate General - Administration“. FM Communications, FM Data Management, FM Service Desk, Facility Protection, FM IT Tools and Space Management are just some of the working areas of Facility Managers at the ECB. Our students Katharina and Lilli took the chance to network and talk to the FM-Specialist Elizabeth Harris as well as to other FM-Professionals about the job design of a Facility Manager at the ECB. Besides the great opportunity to expand their professional network, Katharina and Lilli joined the session „Networking and branding yourself“. The panel discussion „Women in technical fields @ECB“ and the guided tour through the main building gave all participants a short impression about the intercultural working life at the ECB.
